Report a food-data correction

Help us investigate a food record that appears incorrect or out of date.

What to include

Use our contact form and choose a food-data correction as your subject. Include the USDA FDC ID, exact food name and preparation, the nutrient or label information you believe is wrong, the source link or package date, and the catalog version shown on the food’s detail card. Do not include medical information or account passwords.

What happens next

A correction is a request for review, not an immediate nutrient change. We compare it with the exact source record and preparation, record the decision, and review any effect on recipe calculations. Replacements require a staged difference review before publication. An older branded product is not automatically treated as discontinued.

Saved meals and plans

New saves record the catalog version. Opening a saved plan recalculates from the current reference foods, so a source update can change estimates. Keep exported copies if you need a historical record. Product labels can change; check your actual package and match the food’s raw, cooked or drained state.
