From calculator results to measured recipe portions

Adjust recipe portions while keeping the original serving yield, ingredient weights and nutrient differences in view. A daily block estimate, one meal and a weighed ingredient are different things. Our tools connect those steps while keeping their assumptions visible.

Recipe portions: start with the question you want to answer

The Prescription Calculator retains the original daily estimate and an explicit corrected kilogram mode. Its historical meal table can differ from that daily result; it is not a validated meal plan. Decide on meal quantities with appropriate individual guidance rather than automatically dividing an estimate into meals.

The Post-Workout Calculator retains a separate weight-based convention. It does not assess your full training session, current food intake or medical needs. A recipe tagged Post-Workout is an ordinary food option, not a promise of superior recovery.

Filter by separate nutrient counts

Open Recipes and expand “Filter by nutrient blocks per serving.” You can select a protein, available-carbohydrate or total-fat range, independently or together. Ranges use the underlying unrounded estimates. The card shows all three counts because a food or recipe can contribute to several nutrients at once.

Total-fat blocks use total fat divided by 3. The original food tool’s added-fat equivalent divides by 1.5 and remains separately labeled. Do not add those two counters as if they were two allowances.

Change one serving, with every nutrient in view

On a recipe page, “Adjust one portion” starts at one original serving. A factor of 0.5 shows half that serving; 2 shows twice that serving. The control allows 0.25–4 times one serving. This is a mathematical portion adjustment, not a recommended portion range for everyone.

The optional protein-block field calculates the factor needed for a selected protein count, then displays the resulting carbohydrate, fat and energy too. If the factor falls outside the available range, choose another recipe or another target. No value is silently forced into range and no exactly balanced meal is promised.

Understand a recipe that makes more than one serving

Suppose an original two-serving recipe uses 200 grams of an ingredient. One original serving contains 100 grams of that ingredient. A factor of 1.5 shows 150 grams for one adjusted portion: 200 ÷ 2 × 1.5. The original ingredient list below still describes the saved two-serving recipe.

Each source nutrient is scaled from the exact USDA edible preparation state, summed at full precision and displayed after rounding. Estimated cooking times and the written method are not automatically scaled. A larger batch may need different equipment or preparation time; images do not establish the adjusted portion size.

Inspect the individual ingredient

Expand the adjusted ingredient list and choose “Check this amount” to send that public food ID and its gram quantity to the Food Calculator. Body weight and body fat are never included in those links. You can inspect the exact preparation state in the food database and review the shared calculation methodology.

These controls run in your browser and do not change the saved recipe. They do not replace professional assessment of energy, nutrients, allergies or a medical diet. Read the medical and nutritional disclaimer.
